Wardrobe Wednesday hot summer day 2013

Wednesday wardrobe summer

1. Dress (target) early summer 2013
2 dress with jacket (coldwater creek) lace fall 2012
3 knotted jacket to give a waste to the dress
4 tory burch leather black flats winter 2012
Dear Matthew & Ashley this is what I wore to church this past Sunday, weather high 98F

Friday

scarf with cardi

Of all places I saw this in a television commercial. It caught my eye because I liked the way they had the actress wearing a silk scarf over a cardi. I am going to copy this look this fall, it stays warm in TX almost year around so a cardi is the same as a heavy coat in winter. To me it looks polished but casual at the same time which is what I am usually striving to achieve.

cardi= cardigan/or jacket

DIY making a button down , fitted, for Hour glass figured Ladies

supplies
 1. elastic
2 thread
3 hand sewing needle
4 button
5 scissors
6 patients and time
left, before                                  right, after

the elastic does show in the back

sew the button onto the elastic

with the shirt on, attach the elastic button to the shirt via the button hole closest to your natural waist
then wrap the elastic behind you and stretch it to a comfortable tightness, and see where you need to make the button hole in the elastic for the other end.

this is the finished product. I made the button hole in the elastic by making a scissor cut in the elastic and using thread I whipped stitched the edges, and secured the ends of the hole. Almost the same as mending a hole in a sock

Thursday

My new handbag

Right of passage living in San Antonio is to visit San Marcus premium outlet shopping. My husband spoiled me many time that day, one of them was purchasing this handbag for me. After taking this bag out just one time, I was hooked, awww perfection. It's light weight, leather trim, and the nylon is easy up keep. Now I secretly want it in other colors.  Dooney.com

Crushing on in May 2013, clutch from Tispy

Go Fish! in tree hugger
$80.00 + $7.00 shipping

Sophisticated, yet versatile enough for day or evening outings, the Tipsy Skipper signature clutch is the perfect accessory for a day at the shore or a night on the town! In ten snappy prints, each is made of linen/cotton blend with a coordinating silk lining.  The perfect little bag for the gal on the go!

This clutch is adorable, and I would love matching it with my exclusive blue wardrobe. This would be my only monogrammed handbag. Who needs high-end monogrammed bags (RL) when you can putt around town with your own initials on your handbag. Envision this treasure of mine resting on a small round patio table at a San Antonio cafe next to a mug of coffee on a cool sunny morning. Aww that would be the start of a perfect slow day with my favorite person (Chappy)

Pretend I'am a Mom for Mother's Day

Men's Conversation Socks

Target.com
Each pair $3.99
My husband wears a standard pant/button up/tie combo daily for work. To keep his middle aged heart young he likes to wear conversation socks. He said "When I cross my legs, exposing my ankle, these socks make me smile" He reports weekly that he receives compliments on his socks. Plus, in the health care field it is nice to have a conversation starter to relax people into discussing "end of life care."

Bottom line: these socks are FUN

Below are my favorite to see him wear, top 3
