BOMBSHELL NIGHT OUT, Look back

Generously rim the entire eye with VS Makeup Eye Liner in Black Velvet. Trace the pencil above the upper lashline and below the lower lashline. Gently smudge the color with the opposite tip of the pencil.

Hooded eye, basic makeup

It is amazing how applying a darker eye shadow to my outside "crease" or outer edge of my

 eye lid, increases the visual appearance of my entire eye. By applying cosmetic application

 for hooded eyes, this gives an illusion of lift, wake fullness, and soft alert to my affect of my

 face. 

To use the term, "I am still on the fence" on using a shimmer or matte base, I miss matte and low shimmer, (soft pearl finish) 

Personally I have found that an eye shadow with a soft shimmer blends 75% easier, than matte shades

The best of both worlds, use a matte base, such as eye shadow insurance or tarte eye shadow pink base with doe foot applicator, a soft shimmer in crease, dark near eye lashes, and matte dark in out V

I assume that if you’re following this blog, thenyou probably have a pretty decent understanding of all things beauty. But justbecause you have all that knowledge doesn’t mean the people buying you giftsthis holiday season do!

The holidays are the best time to buy for a makeup hobbyist. Why? Most of the middle to highend products releases limited editions, holiday palettes and travel size. This time year is also a makeup lover’s time to shine, due to Mothers Day discounts,and limited edition releases. 

Sneakily print this article out and slip it underyour significant other’s/parent’s/clueless bestfriend’s pillow to make surethey know all the dos and don’ts of shopping for a makeup fanatic like you!(And, if you need some gift ideas, make sure you check out MalkeupTalk’s Holiday Shopping Guide!)

Also using Pinterest.comto make a wish list board has been helpful for me in saying why, I think I needa product, (as if I ever need more makeup, hoarding cosmetic issues anyone?)

  

DO go to reliable stores.

Itmay seem easy and appealing to shop for makeup products through online storeslike Amazon and Ebay, but there’s a strong chance that the items you’re buying are fake! It mightcost a little extra, but your beauty obsessed friend will be glad you made theeffort to get her authentic items.

Stores with great customer service for people who are not into makeup but want to purchase cosmetics for someone  else is, MAC, Sephora and Macy's cosmetic individual cosmetic counters. My experiences at these stores has routinely been reliable on friendliness, genuine personality, and knowledgeable service. 

For quality make-up, hair,or skin products, try stores like Sephora or Ulta. Or, you can usually order directly fromthe brand at their website.

DON’T get skin products (unless she tells youexactly what she wants)!

Thething about faces is that everyone is different. Even if your favorite soapkeeps your skin smooth and soft, it doesn’t necessarily mean it’llwork for other people. Buying skin products of any time can be a bit of a risk,so only purchase the exact items she asks for – or don’t get any at all!

This is so true;I have had to use the same skin products for almost a decade. I know what works for me, on avoiding the flakes, and break outs. Changing or experimenting myskin routine is not worth a massive break out or worse, and infection andscarring.

Ifyou really like skin products as gifts, why not try bath products instead?They’ll be less likely to irritate. I’m in love with Lush productsright now, and they make great gifts!

On this Ihave disagree, I have a history of getting an infection from the scents, and detergentsin bath products.

DO force her to try something new.

Ifyour friend is a true beauty fanatic, then she probably already has all thebasics. Instead of gifting the beauty queen in your life another mascara, findsomething fun and out there that she doesn’t already have: make her experiment!The best gifts tend to be the ones you wouldn’t buy for yourself.

Sephora has gift collections around the holidays, containing, large collections of the years favorite perfumes, mascaras and lip products. Great ideas Sephora.com I congratulate you.

Liptattoos seemincredibly crazy, but the could be perfect for a party gal who likes to go outon the weekends. Does your bestie always wear black eyeliner? Gift her purple eyelinerto help mix it up.

This year the trend is nail art. It is easy and fun to try. Another idea is a gift card for aMAC or Estee Lauder makeup application, or manicure at a new salon.

DON’T throw away the receipt.

Thisreally applies to any gift you purchase for a friend, but especially withmake-up, don’t throw away the receipt! Some things just don’t work oneverybody, no matter how great a color looks in the package. Even worse, whatif your friend has an allergic reaction and can’t use your awesome gift? Hangon to the paperwork just in case.

I have lost track of how many returns I have made in the last two years. As I perfect my cosmetic collection, I have also become critical of the products’ quality, and color payoff. If it is not perfect, I cant justify it staying in my already bulging collection.
