March 2013 His Hats

Everyday Hats for the guys

My husband has his own space to keep this keys, change, breath mints, and all the other stuff guys seem to magically carry in their many pockets. On the wall, above this area he keeps his everyday rotation of hats.

March 5, 2013 Wish List Earrings Tory Burch

I use to think that I was a statement necklace type, but I receive the most compliments when I wear a statement earring, and no necklace. Oh if only I could have told my past self that, and saved some $ along the way. I typically wear large dangle earrings and the retro gal in me also loves a huge pearl stud. I feel like these Circle Logo Earring are right in the middle. I confess, I am not much of a logo person. So I would wear these with a simple leather bag (unblemished) and ballet flats or sandals without a logo.
It is just my personal pet peeve that it annoys me when someone wheres more than one logo item all in the same look. This includes same branding logo as well; as in, same logo handbag, with same logo jewelry, clothing, shoes all worn together. It just shows such a lack of politeness for the on looker.

March 1st, Wish list fantasy shoes

Dolce & Gabbana Fall Winter 2013

I remember my first Disney book was Cinderella  I would beg my mother to read this book to my sister and I  at least 4 nights a week. In our edition Cinderella went to the dance in a gown of bright yellow and I can see her wearing these pumps with that gown. These pumps are almost perfect. Gold goes with everything and makes legs look tan and the metal adornment has the feel of a garden tea party. On second thought, maybe these shoes are better suited for Alice at her Mad Hatters tea party in Alice of Wonderland. The only thing I would change is the heel height, I prefer a 2.5 inch heel.

What is in your closet fantasy wish list this spring 2013?

Jan 2013 fabric softener

how cute is the rose lid

This is the fabric softener that we use. For my super delicate and natural fabrics such as silk and cashmere, I use this only to clean the natural fabrics, think of it as you would only use conditioner on your hair, to me its the same.

Monday

Jan 2013 stripes

I have had a warmth for all things nautical my entire adult life. It doesn't really make sense when I think of how I was raised in the sandy acorn fields of Weatherford, TX before grade school and rode my bike after school along the cotton fields of desert of west Texas. Entering middle school, I was back among the sandy acorn fields again. So there is not an understanding for this love of water.

Below is a collection of stripes that I wore this past month and I didn't even realize how often I wore it.
old navy, top and skirt both old, mixing dots with strips

old navy sweater with chunky silver chain and twill chino white skirt, old

same sweater as above but with white jeans
I also have this same sweater in yellow -  white stripes

Jan 2013

Before Christmas I noticed new shoes at Target for Men, these shoes looked similar to the suede brown shoes that my husband loves to wear.

This is was his original brown shoes and this is the shoe I recommended
but with most events they never turn out like you plan

The hubs new shoes that he finds himself choosing regularly over his other shoes. Men's Merona® Estes Boot

He practically lives in these, by choice
The recommends these shoes for anyone with a low arch and walks often throughout their day. He wears them with skinny chino or dress pants, a button up, suit vest and tie with tie clip. A watch with a large face and silver/rose gold band
